I have a 09 KLX250S and recommend that anyone who has the oem handlebars replace them. It took forever to drill them out. I broke drill bits, beat myself up, and the heat generated by drilling ruined the grips and throttle sleeve. Save yourself time and money buy buying a different set of bars.

I have run the rally pro’s and they were incredibly tough, so I tried these for my daughter’s klx230. She is a beginner and has thrown the bike down a dozen or so times. Unfortunately these hand guards have net held up. The plastic cups both broke off and the entire guards have bent up badly. They look great when new, but won’t hold up if you’re rough in them.

Bought the green version. Installed on a klx 300. Had to trim the clutch lever to clear. The brake lever clears fine. Also had to drill out the bar plugs on my stock bars which took most of my afternoon. The green was a direct match to my kawasaki. I dumped the bike on my first ride after installing and the guards didn't move an inch.
