I'm happy I bought the frameless. I got these to replace a better set that I want to move to a new house with me. Cheaper than a drywall repair, texture and paint. Overall on a tight budget they are great as long as you get a good dedicated sub woofer to pair them with.These are definitely inexpensive, for what you get. They are clear until you really crank up the volume. Still pretty loud without dostortion. They rivaled my 6.5" sonance set for quality until I pushed them a bit harder. For most tv watching and non window-shaking movie watching no distortion. However, if you want things to rattle or feel the bass from your sub in your chest, these will start to dostort. Not terribly, but I'm not quite an audiophile and noticed it.Pretty easy to install. (messy but not difficult with the right tools.) Par for the course here.The build quality seems somewhat cheap but for the price it's fine. (you can really tell a difference in the build from my sonance which are not crazy priced ($700 from bestbuy including a great sub).These do offer directional tweeters but barely. My sonance allows the whole speaker a solid direction.For my own house I probably would not get these, but I like feeling the sound and drowning out my kids' talking during movies. LolAgain, if you're on a tight budget make sure you have room for a good sub and you'll be pretty happy.

I actually bought these to replace my $3k speakers for a move. For $136 these actually surprised me. 100% worth the money for a budget build!!

Don’t let the plain box fool you. Open it up and see the in ceiling 5 speaker set. The magnetic grills make the adjustments, if necessary, easy. Installation only took 10m (I already had the holes cut from last set of speakers I tested). The quality is astounding for the price. I’m expected to pay 200 for a pair of 150w speakers. These 300w 8ohm speakers are worth it. Glad to have found speakers that shake the room (pair them with a subwoofer of course). Have them hooked up to Onkyo TX-SR393 and Polk PSW10 sub.

These speakers are less than half the price of premium brands but sound just as good! Highly recommend. Very simple to install.

Sooo simple to install - sound great with my received and subwoofer - I would put these up against the expensive ones the builder put in this house. Grab them while you can!!!

This product was easy to install. The sound works great with streamed movies and music, but not as well on regular tv. It’s still good for the price.

First, I have installed quite a few ceiling speakers before, so this is not my first rodeo. Installation wise, these speakers were pretty solid. Each speaker includes a template so you can ensure the hole is cut at the correct size. The speaker slides right in and the tabs tighten up to the drywall easily enough and hold tightly.I purchased the speakers with the magnetic grilles and they are certainly worth the extra money! You don't have to wrestle with a flimsy metal grille to get it into place and everything looks great when installed.Unfortunately, the experience post-installation wasn't so great. The sound from these speakers is pretty mediocre. I realize these are not expensive speakers, but I still expected better sound. These are probably just fine for playing music in the background or general ambiance, but I wouldn't think of using them for any type of critical listening or actual home theater usage.These might be improved if there was a speaker box behind them, but I did not have the chance to test that out. Still a decent speaker for general usage, but I would look elsewhere if you're looking for more than that!

Oh boy was I surprised! These speakers were recommended by the installer. They sound great in my theater room! Save some $$$ and give them a try. You will be impressed!
