It is really nice to roll out a single cable to the powered speaker, but it is a big heavy cable. Another bonus is that the less-observent helpers will have an easier time choosing which end of the XLR cable goes to the speaker end!Even though the cable is big and heavy, the jacket is soft and pliable. Should have no problem holding up to the stress of use.

These cables were advertised everywhere for speaker usage but the actual XLR cable is printed for DMX usage. I did not check the resistance so I cannot confirm that they are in fact DMX lighting cables versus XLR audio cables. I've used them exclusively for audio transmission to powered speakers and they've worked flawlessly. It's nice to run just a single cable as it looks cleaner, but the cable is so thick and heavy that it does take quite a bit more storage room.

After only a few event the XLRs are coming apart. Pins sliding back down the connector. Not happy with the quality.

I love these cables! Definitely makes setup and strike much easier when using active speakers. I originally purchased one of these cables in 2010. It still works great. I’ve had to replace one XLR and the male Edison plug but for a cable that gets used weekly that is to be expected. I just ordered 2 more from amazon for a total of 4. So glad these are still available!
