I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier with a KA24DE engine. The oil filter is surrounded by hoses, belts, brackets, and the frame on all sides. It points slightly forward to the side on the right. I can see it through the wheel well, but it's difficult to get anything on it to turn it. This works perfectly with two long extensions.I've read a few reviews saying it didn't grip well enough, but if it's set for the correct direction, it tightens up when you turn it. I had to place it against the end of the filter and turn it clockwise to get it to open up, then it tightened up just fine when I turned it counterclockwise to loosen the filter. When I switched it's direction to tighten the filter clockwise, I had to turn it counterclockwise to get it to open up, and it clamped down on the filter when I turned it clockwise. No problem either way, no slippage, and no damage to the filter.

really did not work, would not grab the filter good, and could not use, had to use my old filter wrench, this will just collect dust now in my tool box.

Weak grip on test filter. Didn't grip tight with hand test. Device just spun and scraped off test filter paint. Pressure springs are too small, too feeble to be effective. Did not even bother to try on stuck filter. Metal looks strong but the springs are undersized IMHO. This may work on some applications but they need to specify the spring tension capacity so objective physics can do the efficacy ability. This is simple Newtonian mechanics.

no tiene suficiente agarre en los dientes para sacar filtros ajustados . no lo recomiendo si tu filtro esta un poco ajustado ..
