My bike is a road bike and the original stem required me to me constantly leaning forward. This new stem at it's lowest point is higher than the original at its highest point. Thus, lots of room for higher adjustments. My only words of caution; by raising the handlebars, you may exceed the length of the existing cables for brakes and gear shifting.

折りたたみ自転車の折りたたむ部分が壊れて、グラグラだったハンドルを交換しました。簡単に交換出来て凄い良いです。

This product seems very well made, and raised my handlebar significantly. My brake lines are a little tight, might have to get longer ones, but this product did what it was supposed to.

This stem was used on a Raleigh M20 mountain bike to replace the stock stem. The conversion consisted of:Remove shifter podsRemove brake leversRemove Quill StemInsert New Quill Stem and tightenHere’s the Fiddly some might consider difficult part.Remove Old (too short) shifter and brake housings and wires.Install New (proper length) shifter and brake housings and wires.Tip: I had to procure tandem length rear shifter and rear brake housings and wires.Some tools used were half inch (13mm) wrench, 8mm, 6mm, 5mm , 4mm Allen wrench, cable tip crimper. Needle nose pliers.Grease to coat the quill stem where it inserts in the head tube.Good luck.

Being able to raise the handlebars up with this stem and also changing the position of the bars with the adjustable neck is easily accomplished with this Stem. It has both adjustments built in. A very nice quill stem that through its available adjustments fits my bike and me perfectly. Thanks!

This very sturdy solid feeling steering neck is extra long and well suited to keep me upright. The screws on the side are not for adjusting the height of the handlebar rise. But to secure in place the swivel of the rise. The sole screw under the neck at the top under the bottom when screwed loose enables the adjusting and the locking in place of the handlebar rise. FYI.
