I want to like these, but they slip too easily. If you're quick with it, it's not so bad, but I'd rather not rush to get the screws in place. It all depends on the weight of the cabinets, of course, so it might not be an issue for everyone.

This pair of cabinet jacks comes in a plain brown cardboard box. The end-pieces were each in a tear-open clear plastic bag; the poles were not in bags. There are no instructions provided, but they are straightforward to use.You need to use quite a bit of force to press the end-pieces fully into place on the ball ends. They will snap on firmly once you've pressed hard enough. They are designed to be left assembled once those pieces are installed, which makes them too wide to fit back in the original box, so you'll need to provide your own storage. These use the same mechanism design as a much longer/taller set of cabinet jacks I got from another brand previously, which all worked well. The upper mechanism was defective on one in my first set of these shorter ones, but a replacement set was promptly provided, which works fine.

These jacks really come in handy when you are short a person to help hold things up. They don't solve every potential problem, but they solve enough of them that they are worth their place in your toolbox. Recommended.

Anytime I'm doing anything that requires more than one set of hands, I grab these. They're perfect for holding up just about anything while you're working on it. With these and a few sawhorses, you can hold up just about anything. They can also be used to spread things apart or push something into place and hold it. They're one-handed operation makes them a snap to adjust, or to release. They're super strong and the ends have ball sockets to allow it to move around. Very versatile, a must have when doing cabinet work. Highly Recommended!

These look good from a distance but the tubes are actually super thin. I'd worry that they will collapse in on themselves, but I haven't gotten to that point of testing because the bottom won't stay put. I've tweaked the clamp as hard as I can get it and whenever pressure starts building it just slips. That's on both of them. Frustrating. I'll keep trying and update if anything changes, but as of now I can't really recommend (at least not for any substantial weight like a cabinet). 01/25

These are a very good idea for supporting things you need a hand to install. As long as you don't exceed the weight limit, they are ok although I would not trust these supporting more than 100 lbs. The wing nut you use to tighten them is plastic and I am not sure that I trust this not to snap over time. These would be so much better if they were made of metal. The rubber pads are a good idea as not to scratch surfaces. The pads are not very thick and could be a bit thicker. I have not found their breaking point yet, but they don't feel as durable as they look. Would be better made fully of metal.

These are "ok" for doing upper cabinets over a countertop, or a job where you don't need to lift more than about 2 ft. But they are not great. The lower tube tends to slip. You have to really tighten the wing nut, and even then, it can still slip if the load is a bit heavy. The ad says 132 lbs, but I doubt I could count on it not slipping over 100 lbs. The wing nut and ring are plastic. I much prefer the lifters that have the metal snap pins/snap bubbles that lock metal-to-metal.

These cabinet risers are very easy to the use the knob raises the the platform and the handle is for small adjustments. The bottom of both ends have a very grippy rubber material that grips to the counter and cabinet very while while not leaving any marks. This makes installation much easier especially getting everything leveled. You just want to check the height this worked for the cabinets on one side of our kitchen but was too short for others.
