This item is not a direct replacement for the original version, it states that it fits my 2004 Mercedes S500 W220, but it has a much larger base, and the screw holes on this do not match up with the original GPS antenna hardware. It’s close, but not exact, and will not fit the original antenna. Very frustrating, and I am being charged for the return shipping, making this a huge waste of time and money.

Lined up perfectly with the antenna base....screw holes that is. No cutting required. Note: you must be careful when removing the antenna base. Also recommend using a quality glass adhesive. Works fine and looks good. Not exactly OEM, however it does work.The only thing MB OEM offers is a complete antenna with cable. That will cost you a minimum of $450.00 not including installation labor. Take your time and this will save you a fortune compared to the above option.
