Apparently he said he wanted a “plain tie”, not a “plane tie”. English can be so confusing. He is now enjoying it anyway and the quality is very nice.

Very elegant! I bought this kind of half as a joke for my pilot friend but it actually looks very classy and I am excited to give it to him. Very very impressed and easily worth the price. It's a great tie and great material. Seems durable.
