Used this on the shaft of a lawn sweeper to retrofit it from drag driven to engine driven.Perfect size to gear reduce the shaft and not have it turning 7000 RPM.After my Tim the Toolman'esque retrofit, I can pick leaves and small children up with my sweeper.Not sure if it's the sweeper brushes contacting the ground doing the work or the vacuum of them moving at a high rate of speed, but it works.

The set screws will come loose depending on your application. In my case, this replaced a 6", 5/8" bore pulley on a Ingersoll Rand 4000 60gal 5hp air compressor. These compressors are fairly noisy and will vibrate regardless of how much you tune them.Although this pulley installed fine, inspection of the set screws after several runs demonstrated they had loosened despite use of a thread-locker. Over time, this could create a problem.The pulley it replaced used a lock screw that seemed to hold up. If vibration is not an issue, this pulley may work fine on your application. It's cast as a single piece and is significantly heavier and more stout than the stock aluminum pot-metal version it replaced.
