I got medium for my 50+ pound dog. It works well for our active family that loves to walk every day and hikes weekly. The backpack has enough space to store some snacks, little water bowl and a few extra small items. It is well made, comfortable and looks good. It comes with a nice leash which is a big plus. I highly recommend this backpack.
