I recently purchased an apartment in a city that I'm not too familiar with, but has huge upside potential. Because I can't be there at all times, I have need some way to watch the door while I'm gone and make sure there's no tomfoolery at foot.The installation for this camera is an absolute snap - just set it up anywhere that you can reach with a USB-C cable (I used an 8-foot cable I got) and then use the app to connect it to your Wifi. An account creation later and I could see and control the camera from my android phone, as if I were there.I had 3 main interests - does the motion detection work, does it notify me and can I make out more than like 5 pixels. Luckily, this camera delivers on all 3 fronts. The motion detections not only told me when I was walking in, and out, of frame, but also when my friend did the same. I received notifications from the app itself, but was pleasantly surprised to see that the app offers e-mail alerts as well, for any devices without the app installed. Finally, in both day and night, I could see decently well who was at my door. It wasn't 4k quality or anything, but I could easily tell it was me, though the general smoothing did make me look more rakishly handsome than usual.

When I was first trying to set up my camera, I was Unable to connect through WiFi or Bluetooth. I kept getting an error saying my camera won’t connect because it is Non-dual WiFi. I reset it so many times. I reached out to their customer service, through email and they were very hands on and fixed the issue remotely so I was to finally set up my camera I can view it now and they were so kind they offered a 1m free of could storage for the inconvenience.Now this is how you turn a negative into a positive. I had high expectations for this camera, but unfortunately, it will be returned. It requires a constant connection to home Wi-Fi for mobile use, which is quite inconvenient. Additionally, zooming in results in pixelation, diminishing the image quality. To access playback videos, one must subscribe to a monthly service, making it impractical for those who cannot monitor the camera continuously. Overall, this experience has proven to be a disappointing investment of both time and money.

Having been a Victim of Crime around the holidays, this little Camera saves the Day, and the Price—you can't beat it. It works wonderfully well. Buy one.
