Thinner than the original. Leaves room between the filter join. Leakage has worsen with time.

Have a 20 year old filter system and the old gasket was beyond use. Retired it, This single gasket saved our July 4th. Fit perfectly and all went right in OUR'ville.Great Replacement

This o-ring fits my pool filter housing but it's a very tight fit. I understand the ring is new but it took two of us to wrestle the filter housing top on. In my opinion, the ring is a bit larger than it should be. We finally got the top locked down and there were no leaks.

This filter is a perfect aftermarket replacement for the Hayward filter o-ring. The o-ring fit exactly and has stopped the water leak that I had from my old o-ring. The filter has been dry for many days of use after installation and the product appears to be doing a great job. Much cheaper and to me, better quality product than the OEM o-ring.
