If you have a household that enjoys simple family style meals, I can't recommend this enough.I really would be surprised if anyone felt All-Clad screwed this one up. I find them to be a very reputable company with excellent products. So even though some people find them overrated, I think this is a product that one would be hard pressed to find fault with. The measurements are 11"x19" and it fits perfectly over 2 of my stoves burners -- whether I place it horizontally or vertically. I'm really happy with that. The quality is excellent. The outer surface is coated in enamel while the cooking surface is cast iron. Although it says it's scratch resistant, it also mentions in the instructions to use wood, plastic or silicon utensils. So I don't plan on using anything metal except when absolutely nothing else is available. I'm pretty sure that's the purpose of the "scratch resistance."It's fairly heavy, as one would expect, and so the heat distribution and retention is excellent. When I have the burners on medium, the portion of the plancha that sits between the burners is within 60° of the heated portions (after about 20 minutes of continued heating). And once the burners are off, it keeps the food nice and warm for the entirety of the meal.Whether your household likes a griddle full of eggs and bacon along with pancakes, or a sizzling plancha with fajitas and tortillas, or just some good old Philly cheesesteaks, this beauty will get you there and leave everyone with smiles.Treat it well and it'll return the favor.

This thing is amazing, in many ways. First, it's the only plancha I've seen with an enamel back, so it doesn't get gross like other ones do. Also, the black matte enamel (non-stick and non-staining) coating on the cooking surface looks and feels and works like cast iron, but does not require seasoning, and so does not come pre-seasoned with an unknown "food-grade oil" like cast iron does (which you might want to consider if you're vegan). They tell you to wash it in warm soapy water. It comes in a really nice retail box that is actually easy to open, which makes up for how very heavy it is. The product page says 11 lbs, but it feels just extremely heavy, even though the handles are nice, and covered in smooth enamel. Just how big is it? If it were any bigger, I don't know how I would wash it in our standard full-size (21" wide) sink -- see the photos. If I want to soak it for a little bit, so it has to be flat, it can be suspended by the handles from either side of the sink; that's how big it is. If you're making burgers for a dozen people and it's raining, this is your tool.

Stellar griddle. This thing is sturdy as heck but is still light enough that it's not too heavy to move around as needed. Solidly constructed and distributes the heat wonderfully.Nothing sticks to it yet, and as long as you take care of it correctly this is gonna last forever. I'm super impressed with it and have totally enjoyed especially making a big breakfast or smash burgers on it. Love it. Great piece.

I wish I could give it a 4.5. It’s almost perfect, but doesn’t quite live up to my possibly unrealistic expectations.First of all, I see many reviewers claiming that the cooking surface is plain cast iron. It is not. It has a matte enamel finish. It requires no seasoning. I guess if you want to season it you can, but it’s not necessary. Both the inner enamel finish and the glossy exterior finish appear to be well applied and the griddle itself has large handles and is easy to lift for its size and weight. The inner matte enamel will develop a patina over time , which is a good thing. It’s a very nice griddle for a very reasonable price (I am a fan of Le Creuset’s enameled cast iron so this price seems downright cheap to me).My one caveat is that it needs a long preheat to get an evenly heated cooking surface. I made some English Muffins and burned a few a little. I am not patient and it kind of drives me nuts to leave the gas on so long without doing anything, lol. I would guess 20-30 minutes would be minimum preheating. But I think anyone would be satisfied with the quality and workmanship.

This griddle is heavy, but in a good way. It doesn't warp like some of the aluminum pans I've been using due to it being cast iron and "heavy". It is very easy to clean. Once the pan heats up, it cooks evenly across the entire surface. I like using our griddle in the oven for even heating vs. the stovetop. Our oven is electric. I believe a gas oven / gas burners would give better results on the stovetop. It's hard to get even temperatures with electric burners.

This griddle covers half of my gas stove perfectly. On the first try, we made perfect Scallop Pancakes—eight pancakes at once—wow. But then we forgot to turn off the gas. By the time we finished dinner, it had been heated on low for an hour, and the leftover oil had solidified on it. We waited for it to cool, sprayed oven cleaner, and brushed it off. It was as good as new.

The All-Clad Enameled Cast Iron Plancha Griddle is an absolute powerhouse in the kitchen. It’s very heavy and solid, which gives it a sturdy, high-quality feel. The enameled coating works well, preventing most foods from sticking while still giving that great cast iron sear.At 11 x 19 inches, it fits perfectly over two burners, making it ideal for cooking multiple items at once. Whether you’re making pancakes, steaks, or veggies, it distributes heat evenly and holds up beautifully to high temperatures—even in the oven or under the broiler up to 650°F.It’s a fantastic addition for weekend entertaining, letting you cook for a crowd with ease. If you're looking for a durable, versatile griddle, this one is worth every penny!
