It works ok, but a hassle to install. I prefer the individual rod guides as they are much easier to handle.

The rod guides kept falling out of the rods. After a while, I ended up cutting of the end of the tool allowing me to use it from the top of the engine without having to first insert it from the bottom of the engine and fish it into the connecting rod. If I had to buy this again, it would be the other style that are just extension sticks from the connecting rod.

Used this on a 1992 LT1 V8 and it made is quite easy to loosen the rod bearing cap and then safely push the piston out. Works perfectly! Just tap with your hand, no hammer needed. Well worth the cost.

really helps when installing pistons by yourself, not cheap for a piece of plastic but it should last a lifetime.
