Wanted to love them. Unfortunately we tried both the Adult and Intermediate size and could not get them adjusted to my son's legs properly. He is 6' but 155. So he has an athletic build and I guess thin legs because these were just too wide. I know All-Star is amazing quality, he has asked for them for years, but they just don't work for my kid.

My son plays 15u baseball and was in need of new catching gear. These came recommended and glad we bought them. I hesitated at first because of the cost but my son says they are super comfortable.

Upgraded my sons gear from a youth "kit" to these shin guards (and other gear) and boy does he LOVE them! School colors, great fit, better protection, and a son who plays harder knowing his gear will protect him. Worth every penny!

If you want the best leg guards you’ve found them. My son plays for several teams and is either playing or practicing 5 days a week. His previous leg guards were a distraction, either uncomfortable or constantly having to be readjusted in between plays. Since he started using these All Star guards he never has to mess with them on the field and in fact said he forgets he’s even wearing them since they feel like they are part of his leg. They aren’t cheap, but you clearly get what you pay for with this product.

My son goes through a set of gear each year. He played Varsity level baseball since Freshman year and for a travel team in the summer. When he was younger, he would always want the Under Armour brand, which is made by All-Star. The cost wasn't much of a difference so I'd get that for him. Colors are limited with Under Armour, especially off season when we tried to stretch his last set and we couldn't find a matching set of leg guards that matched his still good chest protector. We decided to go with these, and they color matched perfectly. I think I can finally start buying All-Star gear for him now instead of being limited buying the other brand. This gear has done it's job throughout the years. He's been trucked many times during a play at the plate. He's had to block many a curball in the dirt. The countless foul tips, that make me wince every so often. Is he sore after the game, sure, but the protection does it's job.

Simply the best leg guards on the market... Full stop.From the way they hinge, to the comfort, to the quality of padding and some of it is removable/washable. The leg clasp support is even padded.Honestly catcher leg guards have sucked since the beginning of time. These are a game changer!!!
