Used this product approximately 4-5 times for a day trip. Unfortunately, there is already a place where it's leaking water at the bottom :(

As expected the plastic is soft and contours to packs well, the mouth piece is soft and easy to use, offers good flow and easy to clean. The quick disconnect hose works well. However, because the plastic is so soft, the holes at the top of the bladder that are meant for mounting it with the two toggles inside my alpz day pack are soft and tear easily. They are not reinforced and as a result they have torn after being removed and cleaned/refilled only a handful of times. They should have a grommet around them to improve durability. These tearing defeats the usability of this bladder , if you can't mount it it slumps, bunches up in the bottom of a pack rather than holding it up and in the center of a pack, that's important for weight distribution. More thorough R&D would have been appreciated especially for the price. I likely won't be buy another from alps if it retains the same poorly thought out mounting system.

I had a 2l water reservoir and wanted something bigger to fit in my 75L backpack and this seemed like a good deal. The insulated tube and quick disconnect valve are a very nice touch; you can remove the reservoir without having to take the tube out of your backpack, just make sure to push pack the water from the tube back in the reservoir prior to avoid a spill. Even though I washed mine right away with a soft soap made for these, the item did have a plastic-ish taste that went away after 5 or 6 uses but that's about the only complain. Overall pretty satisfied, it didn't have any leak, the seams and material feels solid the different attaching point on the reservoir fit both packpack I own (Osprey Escapist 20L and ALPS mountaineering Nomad RT 75)

Its awesome to have that much when its hot and you hike far and away.I am still wondering when the plastic taste will subside, I suspect its in the tube which btw works very well.Nice quick-release, easy to couple/de-couple only a few drops gets out the tube; nice oversize (dual size) fill cap too for ease of cleaning; bigger cap doesnt screw for ages, a couple turns and its closed.Love that too.used to paying for cheap ones but this bag beats them all so far.

A great addition to my ALPS frame and pack. Filled full daily during a remote moose hunt w/3L of sparkling water from a stream with fresh water for the long hikes we had to put in. No leaks mouth spout is easy to use with a great free flow option.

Holds water for drinking and no leaks after trudging through the woods. It does what it's supposed to. Enough water for an all day sit which is what I like

The bite valve stopped working for me right before I left for my Philmont trek.(Literally 15 minutes before we left to go to our first campsite) I got a replacement bite valve and then on the second day the quick connect valve on the unit stopped working. Thankfully I was able to use it as a dromedary, but was not able to use it as its intended purpose. Then on the 4th day the other unit broke at the quick connect valve too. I didn't have the time to investigate what the problem was so I had to purchase two new bladders at the nearest commissary. It gets 2 stars because the units do not leak and I can use them to transport 3L of water so I can find a use for them yet.
