After tearing half the printer apart to get this fuser installed, realized I had made a mistake. I went ahead and installed all the parts required. Buttoned everything back up and the printer is louder and prints worse than before. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! Should be a ZERO star option for this one.

This repair worked for two days ... then for an unexplained reason the print went completely light. We changed toner and that changed nothing. Something with the parts exchanged blew up. We have ordered a new printer. Counting the cost of this Kit as part of the cost for a new (refurbished, same model) printer.

Worked with tech support to determine the problem and they RMA'd the unit. New unit to arrive in 7 days. This fuser assy made a really bad grinding noise. Tech support said to put the old gears on the new unit to see if that resolves the grinding issue. Doing that did lower the grinding noise but not by much, indicating the new fuser assy may be the problem. Put the old fuser assy back in and no grinding at all either with the old gears or gears from the new fuser.The fuser I received looked to be new or at least a well done refurb. I noted that when I turned the fuser sleeve roller by the gear (out of printer) that there was not much pressure resistance compared to the old unit. There are two springs that provide the pressure on the one roller and perhaps they used the wrong tension spring on this unit. It printed just fine but sounded like a thrashing machine having a bad hair day.Tech support was great to work with. Easy to contact and gave me no hassle at all about replacing the unit. Hopefully the replacement will be better. The kit contained all the paper pickup rollers and misc. parts - plus detailed instructions on how to replace everything. Nice touch.Would order from them again based on their willingness to provide support as well as no-hassle.
