Length and diameter are exactly as promised. These are able to be curved (as in a usual tent) quite a bit without any of them kinking, bending, or developing a permanent curvature. Worked out perfectly for a project!

I bought these to make a sunshade for my fish pond. I needed a structure that would hold up a piece of sun shade fabric, be temporary (only need it for about 3 months of the summer) and stand up to wind and rainstorms. They worked perfectly, they flex in the wind, but don't fall over, and fold up and store when I don't need them. They have survived 2 summers so far, and still seem in great shape.

The description says the pole length can be easily adjusted. That is not true. It takes special tools and skill to shorten the length. If the inside shock cord lets go, it is impossible to feed it through the many pole pieces.

daughter broke original pole while wrestling/fighting with brother. I thought for sure we’d need a new tent. This was the perfect replacement pole so We didn’t need a new tent.

no where could i find replacement poles for a Coleman outdoor pup tent, the ones new broke w/in a week, so after searching reviews on amazon i took a chance on these. they were too long just all the others I ordered and had to return, but in my frustration I bent two of the pole links together to shorten and stuck them inside the fabric pole holder to make do. Will they stay and work long term - don't know. But at least for the moment they are holding.

These poles worked great to replace the poles my outbound came with that were decimated in a wind storm on my first camping trip of the season. They shipped relatively quickly so that I could get back out there with ease! Quality of material used is also greater quality than I've seen in a long time!

I removed 1 section of each support, cut 1 of those in half and reinstalled the half sections. Works great with my milspec rain poncho for fast concealment from weather and opposing forces. Enough room for a 6 foot individual using these supports. Twist the poncho hood and tie off with hood draw string. PONCHO NOT INCLUDED-MUST PURCHASE SEPARATELY. I've tested and it works. You will need red electrical connectors to use as feet for the poles to set into the poncho grommets.

These poles are exactly as advertised. I used them to replace a lost fly pole on my MSR tent and I couldn't be happier. I purchased a longer set than required and the poles are easy to take apart to adapt the length that is needed. Durability seems fine, the gage of the poles are thin (think backpacking tent not car camping tent) but my assumption is they will last just as long as any other aluminum pole.
