This isn’t going to win a beauty contest on your bed, so you’re not buying for aesthetics, but if you’re like me and sleep really hot, this thing works! It’s very cool to the touch and almost stays that way. Money well spent

I really love the comforter-the feel and softness are great. However, since I’m a warmer sleeper and going through menopause, I find that it doesn’t stay cool long enough for me. It might just be a personal preference.

If you are looking for a light weight, cooling blanket that is not overly expensive.. look no further!! It’s only been one night. Big I slept so much better because I wasn’t too hot during the night!!

I ordered this Amélie Home Cooling Comforter Queen Size, Reversible Lightweight Cooling Blanket for Hot Sleepers because I was looking for a cooling quilt for our bedroom.My husband sleeps quite warm; in summer, our bedding winds up kicked off the bed and trailing on the floor. Now, in winter, he piles on comforters in our cool-to-chilly bedroom (good for sleep) because he feels cold getting into bed; then he sweats through the stack of blankets while sleeping. I got him a cooling throw blanket a while back that seemed to help him sleep better; I was pleased when I saw this queen sized cooling comforter that could cover the whole bed.This comforter is made from 90% nylon/10% spandex. The fabric is so smooth and feels a bit cool to the touch. The comforter is much lighter than I expected, and my husband said he slept very well under it. He isn’t sweating through the covers, and the one comforter is enough to keep him both warm in our chilly room and cool enough for sleeping.This comes in five colors; I ordered the Heather Cool Grey. It’s a lovely pale grey, slightly heathered in color. It looks great with our bedding, which is grey with grey and pink throw pillows. One side is smoother and more silky or slick feeling; this side is the Q Max cooling fabric. The other, heathery side is also soft and comfortable.This comforter is OEXO-TEX certified; this means it has been tested by a third party and found to be free of harmful chemicals and safe for direct contact with your skin.We’re very pleased with this comforter. At the current price ($89.99) I think you get excellent value for the money. That being said, I was happy to receive this through the Vine program; while I think this comforter is well worth the price, it’s a bit outside our current budget. I’ve seen other cooling blankets for much higher prices; this comforter is sturdy, well-made, well-designed, and definitely cooling.This came nicely packaged in a brown cardboard “suitcase” design that opened at the top. Inside, the comforter was wrapped in plastic; when I unwrapped it, the comforter was neatly folded and tied up in a gold and white branded ribbon. The simple design of the packaging includes the Amelie logo and is suitable for gifting.I’m very pleased with how this comforter looks and with how well my husband is sleeping under it. I love how it stays cool all night—if I wake up in the middle of the night, the comforter still feels silky and cool to the touch. The blanket is warm enough that we don’t need to pile on extra layers, even now in February. The cooling fabric keeps us from overheating while we’re sleeping.Oh, and this is machine washable and tumble dry low. No special care instructions, no dry clean only. It went through our machine and came out looking great and still brand new.

Crazy that I would test out this blanket on one of the coldest nights of the year here in central Texas, but that is the curse for those of us who live with a nuclear reactor pumping heat out of our bodies overnight. I've tried all manner of blankets and devices through the years and finally found a great solution back in November. It's not sold on Amazon so I can't link it here, but it is also $$$$ so not an accessible option for everyone. I have not felt hot and sweaty overnight for 3 months which has been bliss!Last night I wasn't feeling well so I was decided to sleep in the guest room to not disturb my partner. I wasn't looking forward to being away from my magical forced air mattress topper (she uses the heating element while I crank up the cooling fans) but then I remembered I hadn't had chance to try this blanket yet. I had ordered it for my son's bedroom as he also suffers from the same affliction and I'm grateful I remembered! This blanket provided a fantastic night's sleep...far better than what I have experienced with any of the other blankets in the house. Even during cold nights, I will generally find myself alternating between too hot and too cold and I experienced none of that with this blanket. No sweating, no tossing and turning, just blissful sleep. If you're someone who is miserably hot even during the coldest nights, I would give this a try. I'll give it another shot later in the year to see how it performs during the Texas summer, though I don't think it will be nearly as comfortable unless I have the A/C super low. For winter nights though, this thing is great!UPDATEAfter my initial testing during cold nights we had a warm spell and I was able to confirm my suspicions that while being great for cold winter nights this isn't going to help much during the spring/summer months. Still a good blanket and your mileage may vary depending on how hot you sleep.
