What could I say other than its a quality well made American Standard product that serves its purpose when you need it. It solved my problem.

I replaced the valve about 4 months ago. After a few months the valve became harder to turn. Finally, it stopped turning. I took it apart and the problem appears to be with the multiple start screw and nut. It jams up and I can't tell if the nut threads are damaged or if there is another issue. I ended up using some of the old parts with the new rubber components to assemble a valve that seems to work. I don't how reliable it is, time will tell. Clearly there is a design/manufacturing issue.

It got progressively harder to turn on and foo after 2 months, now bought another ( 2nd replacement) to see if it will last, otherwise it will be a different company when I remodel.
