This is a simple plastic yarn winder, it’s a decent cost compared to similar items on the market. Biggest issue: the inner plastic gear and wheel weren’t aligned when I received it. The entire winder can come apart to fix but it is definitely not meant to be tampered with. The plastic is somewhat flimsy and the interior attachments are made with small half circle metal clamps that are impossible to remove and when you can remove them they are even more impossible to replace properly. Even so, I was able to pop the gears back in place and even without the clamp in place it still works adequately. Ruined a half skein of yarn in the process of trying to get it fixed but now it makes decent cakes.
