Shields are flimsy and band is not very smooth for flipping up or down and fit to band is tough compared to others I've had

I only got this for welding eye protection, since I just got an inexpensive inverter welder from Amazon. I had never welded before, but I was aware of the need for eye protection. When I saw this 'welding face shield' available on Amazon, I thought this would cover the eye protection need. Since ordering this, I have learned more about welding, and the various options for eye protection. I know that the old style permanently dark lenses are usually graded by shade, and certified to ANSI OR CE standards. I don't see either for this, and I won't trust my vision to a possibly effective product.

I just love this mask shield! I use it to protect my skin from the sun in order to get rid of tinea versicolor, a chronic fungal infection, and it works great! I especially love how it includes a clear shield, comes in very handy for cooking ie avoiding splatters! Cant tint your vehicle windows dark? Forget sunglasses, just wear uv clothes/ head covering, gloves & this shield! If you don't protect yourself no one else will! Highly recommended!

This face shield has absolutely no safety rating data, so I will only use it at home for very light duty tasks. It also produces a terrible glare which makes it hard to see through. All in all I would not recommend this product to others.
