The overall layout of this budget planner is very well thought out. There's almost everything you would need to keep track of your daily and monthly spending. I got this in pink and I do like the color and the picture is quite relatively accurate.The planner is broken up into monthly sections. There you can get your budget in, income, savings, it even has a goals section as well as a checklist. Followed by expenses and so forth. The page following the monthly budget is a expenses tracker, these are 4 pages each before you get to the monthly review. The monthly review has a blank page next to it.So the month sections goes as follows:Monthly BudgetExpenses TrackerMonthly ReviewBefore it repeats.It's undated which is perfect. And at the end of the planner there's dotted grid pages. For anything else you may need.There's also a multitude of other things like a holiday budget, savings tracker, debt tracker.The thing that gets me about this planner is I wish it had tabs. Of course you can add it in yourself with page flags but flipping through trying to understand what you have can be a bit confusing. So if it was broken up into sections with the help of tabs I feel like you'd be a lot more organized with things. So page flags are a must!I find myself just probably using a gel pen like a 0.5mm. The pages are relatively thin as well so keep that in mind. No pens or markers that bleed through easily.I really do recommend! Probably the best budget planner I've seen.

The &And Per Se Budget Book is a top notch journal with thoughtful layout for tracking expenses. I am an unapologeti paper and pen snob, and am delighted with the 100 gsm thick, ivory paper. It handles pencil, ballpoint, and fountain pen with ease. The book is well-crafted--you can tell that And Per Se is in the journal business.This is an A5 size, 5.83 x 8.27 inches, roughly a half sheet of US letter size paper folded on its short width. The careful attention is not something I am used to seeing in budget books, far more the kind of thing one finds in higher end journals. Pen loop, elastic closure, interior back envelope pocket, and two contrasting bookmarks. I chose the Blue colorway, and it is elegant in appearance, leaning towards the warm green end of the hue. The cover is rigid, and lined in a tightly textured fabric mimicing leather.The interior has just what is helpful for its intended use, without anything extraneous, just as pictured in the product page and reviews a "belongs to" page to hold your contact information should it get lost. The paper is not just thick, it is pen and pencil friendly. You can see on the test page pictured here that there is minimal ghosting, and slight bleedthrough only with the ultrafine Sharpie marker. I expect it will hold off the inevitable (at least for me) stray ink spills.Once this &And Per Se budget journal caught my attention, I also ordered the Recipe Book. It is equally well-made, intelligently designed, and a delight to use. I am so pleased to have an organized way to track expenses and budgeting. This would make a lovely gift for a homemaker or small business owner. Highly recommendedI give this $And Per Se recipe journal my highest recommendation to anyone looking to up their recipe keeping game. And I will already browsing the &And Per Se store for more journals. Should additional testing reveal defects in the journal, I will update this review.

This is a very nice budget planner. The budget sheets are great and cover a lot of important pieces for a good overall budget, to build a good monthly and yearly monthly as well as those that help track actual spending to keep you on track. The sheets are nicely laid out to plan and set up your monthly and yearly expenses to keep these payments on track. This is a particularly very important one for me as I struggle with some ADHD, and I've had important dates pass causing cancellation of services, etc issues, so having a tracker to keep up on important payments and dates is extremely important. I also like the budget building sheets to set up and track monthly budget items so that I can build a clear and realistic budget to cover all of my expenses, as well as a tracker to follow my expenses to keep me on track. The book itself is very nice looking, and the sheets are good quality. I really like this budget book and recommend it to others who could use this kind of budget help.

This is a sturdy budget planner. It feels well-made, but the pages are a little thin, so make sure you use no-bleed pens, or a pencil! It is certainly a well-thought-out design though.For the price point, it is totally worth it!

This one ended up really impressing me as I began looking through this book and I am really looking forward to starting to work with this. The book in itself is very well made with the faux leather cover (very nicely done) and the fact that the book has been designed to lay flat. That makes it a whole lot easier to worth with. They have a couple of bookmarks that helps to mark not just one page but two places in the book. I have never seen that before but that is super smart and very appreciated.The paper is decent paper -- it is not super thin paper but it is not thick either to the point you can't work with it. There is a pocket I didn't realize was there until recently located in the back cover. Nice surprise. Then there is an elastic loop that you can also use to mark a location in the book.Now to the fun part-- there are a variety of sheets inside this book. From expense trackers, important dates, goals, ideas, and mostly importantly monthly budget sheets. The back even has savings tracker, debt trackers, bill trackers and then even holiday planning. I am sure I have missed some pages but there is a ton. I cannot say enough about how neat this book really is. This will help me out a lot.
