There's nothing wrong with the product itself, really. The instruction manual's instructions are clear and make it pretty simple to figure out. My problem is that the instruction booklet and product box have photos of more complicated projects but there's nowhere, even online, to learn these. I'm a fiber artist, I crochet, knit, macrame, etc... so I can probably figure out what to do for those maybe. But if you have no experience, and considering this is marketed for kids that's likely, I cannot imagine how you would figure it out. The booklet says you can go to the YouTube Channel for more advanced techniques, but the YouTube channel only has the basic instructions.

My 9 year old loves it, she had tried other crochet and knitting devices and found them challenging, but this one with a bit of help from the adult for the initial setup, she got onto it straight away, knitted a scarf with the yarn provided, and we bought her other yarns to start other small projects. Pretty happy with it.

Santa brought this to my 11yo daughter. She immediately created 3 scarfs for late gifts! There is a knack to doing this, but the basics are super easy. Be sure to have plenty of yarn because once you get going, you can do about 6"/5min? One LLoom is perfect for a scarf, but you'll have to connect two for hats. Hardest part for my daughter is the tendency to make the weave really tight, which is super warm, but not too easy to wrap around your neck... It is a fun thing to sit with her while I fiddle with something else, and talk, or listen to music, very back to quality time all to absent from our current lives.

My daughter received the loop de loom as a gift and several days later I find that the whole loom is completely unusable because several loom pegs were broken off in the holes. I have tried everything I can think of to get the little plastic ends out of the loom but nothing works. They are absolutely stuck. Since the ends are stuck in the holes I can’t replace the pegs and am left with a loom that doesn’t work. I would not recommend.

We own four of these because we love to use them for weaving all sorts of things! We like it because you can weave any size you want, any length you want, easily. The hard part is measuring out the strings, which takes a lot of time a big space, and at least 2-3 people for best results. When measuring, make sure to add a few extra inches for insurance and to make tying them off easier. When measuring the circumference of your head for a hat, make sure it is very loose and that you add an inch to the measurement, because woven items are not stretchy like knitted items.Overall, great product that is easy to use! Recommended for crafters who love working with yarn and weaving, and have the time and space to do it.

This is an excellent tool for beginning weaving or see if you might be interested in weaving before buying all the things. It is appropriate for most ages and anyone where one hand is enough. The posts are not very sturdy so adult supervision might be necessary for the younger ones. I also like how easy it is to add additional bases to make wider items if you want to avoid seams. The most difficult part is remembering to use the lever on a regular basis. For the most basic weave, weave the yarn the same direction the lever is pointing.

I have done various needlework (crochet, cross-stitch, embroidery) for decades and found this a little hard to get used to. Once I figured it out, it was pretty easy and fun to do small projects (less than 2 ft long). However, longer projects (like a scarf) are a different story. The tension is extremely difficult to maintain over a longer length because you have to reset the pegs every 7-8 inches and manually move the weaving down the warp; this also makes it easy to cross warp strands (causes knots to form) or accidentally drop a warp strand.

Bought this item to keep kids busy but they grew really bored with it. I then just made a cardboard loom and found them much more engaged. I know the item itself is completely functional - just not as engaging as something to keep people busy with.

All I can say is THANK YOU! I bought this loom for my daughter. She has a brain injury and is blind. I have been looking for crafty things to occupy her time, for quite a while, and this is perfect! It has guides at the top and a lever that helps her switch directions. It is easy for her to feel the string guides and tell where the string needs to be, without her sight. It will take some getting used to, with practice, but is perfect for the blind or low vision!! Finally found something different for her to do. I also think this will help with her brain injury. Problem solving, motor skills and strengthening the brain. I like that I can get her attachments to make it longer so she can make blankets or rugs. ❤😁At first it took a bit to understand how to start weaving because the directions seemed to not explain clearly but I was able to go on YouTube and watch the video. That was a lot clearer.Product is sturdy and easy to put together. Recommend for anyone who can no longer crochet or knit due to vision or arthritis issues. Great for the elderly!

I purchased two of these and produced most of the pictured weaving the night they arrived using three different sized yarns. Both looms came with three extra pegs, so I am not worried about breakage, it took a lot of abuse during this one project and nothing broke. It is amazing concept that makes peg looming so much easier, you just have to remember to turn the handle in between weaves.I even tried a technique called clasped weft where you bring two different yarns from either side and they meet in the middle. You just have to twist the yarn before putting it into the pegs, and adjust the tension from either side, and you make where they meet in the middle random each time, it comes out really cool.I recommend this for adults and for children in the recommended age range, probably need some help from a parent for setup and advancing the weave, and finishing.
