This was a good assortment for the price. I purchased these to repair a tool that had a 2 part rivet that broke away from its self. With the application of locktite on the threads, I was able to run the male screw end into the the female post with ease. Simple flat tip screw driver so no special tool was needed. I think the part I liked most was that the threads were cut well. I fitted several together and none bound up indicating the threads good.

I made some hardwood clipboard as gifts. Completely happy with this product. If I had to submit a negative, it would be that there is no phillips head version. Other than that, it's exactly what I expected.

The metal on these Chicago screws are nice and smooth. The set comes with different sizes for various projects, which I really like. They screwed in true and work great! I love this style of screw so a small album can be modified with tools around the house.Love them!

The female ends of these are identical. The male side is provided in 3 lengths, the longest of which is just under 1/2" which is usually the smallest size I'd want. Bearing that in mind I'm wondering why this company doesn't provide just one size each of male and female ends and varying sizes of extenders to install in the middle. I think that might be a more economical way to go and make it easier to offer longer lengths which could be used for scrapbooks, journals and DIY sketchbooks. It would also make it easier to swap out the contents without taking the whole stud apart. As it is, the smallest size would be best for thin collections of laminated cards including guides, ID's, recipes, etc. They are smooth and appear to be good quality. Time alone will tell if they also are rustproof.

I do hockey equipment repair and I have been using these instead of rivets and they work great. A little locktite and these aren't going anywhere accidently!
