I work for chain control in the mountains coming into California. These are not California legal and terrible in the snow. Save your self some money and buy some real chains or socks are also acceptable

Bought in anticipation of snow. We just used it for the first time and it blew the tire so violently it shredded the tire to the rim. Now we are stranded and down a tire on top of the day being Sunday when no one is open to fix said tire ...

Easy to navigate. Work excellent in the snow. Lost a total of 5 spikes on 3 different straps.

I used them for 2 days and a few of them kept coming loose. Some held strong. The ones that loosened started banging around as the wheel turned. I think the locking mechanism has to hold much tighter. I will still use them next year but do wish the clips had a much stronger spring to hold them down on strap.
