I put one of these in my Carvin DC 127 several years back and have loved every tone I've gotten out of it. It has a great tone whether coil split or in humbucking mode. With heavy metal distortion the notes are always cleanly separated and articulate, but it doesn't have that overly brittle clean tone that a lot of metal pickups get. It sounds great on every setting, with any amp.
