ready to go in less than two minutes. most of these that I have bought don't work well and take for ever to connect. don't know if It's this device or Nikon. i have used remotes on other camera brands that don't work nearly this well

Remote paired up instantly, the range is excellent. Buttons are exactly like Nikon and it performs as well also. Same size as the NL-L7m

I just got this. It paired easily to my Zf. The instructions didn't apply, but the camera just came out and is different from the earlier ones. Everything seems to work just fine. The build quality seems fine. It doesn't feel like I gave up anything by buying aftermarket. I'll update this if it fails prematurely.

Connected to my camera easily and works very well when taking photos at a distance. Saves a lot of time when starting to record and stop a video. Only con would be that it disconnect from the camera when the camera times out. Not a big deal and could probably be solved in camera settings

Currently using this remote with our Nikon Z6ii. In my opinion, the accompanying instructions are useless for this type of camera. If you have this type of camera, make sure you have the “C” firmware version 1.40. Otherwise, you will not be able to connect your camera to this remote. Once you have the updated firmware, all you have to do is navigate to MENU ➪ SETUP MENU ➪ Wireless remote (ML-L7) options ➪ Save wireless remote controller. The camera will prompt you to hold the remote power button for 3 seconds to start the connection. That’s it! You can then assign the Fn1 and Fn2 buttons. Side note: you cannot half press the remote shutter button to focus. It just takes a photo when I try.

This remote is used with my Nikon Z Fc for "selfies" and other photos that require a remote release. Since it uses a radio link instead of IR (Infra Red), it can trip the shutter even if it's not in a direct line-of-sight to the camera. It's quick and easy to pair with my camera and has good range. For the price...(under $30), it's a helpful accessory.
