So I took a chance on this stand, and after putting it together I can say that it is a huge upgrade to my office, it actually looks like a decent piece of furniture.When I ordered this I was expecting construction would be fiberboard or some other composite material. But it seems to be solid wood with a laminated surface. This is really good, because it is mostly held together with screws, which don't always hold well in composite material.And yes, you will need to put 12 screws into the stand. Instructions created in Asia by people who don't speak English as a native language are never as good as we would like, and the ones for this stand are no exception. The good news is that the assembly is simple and straightforward. You have to keep track of where you use the short screws and where you use the long screws, but they are very different in length so you won't get mixed up. They also don't tell you where to put the plastic covers that conceal the screw holes, but you can figure that out.In order to keep the shipping size of this guy reasonable, the board underneath the stand is composed of two pieces butted together at the ends. I feel nervous about this, it creates a weak point in the construction, but I think it would take a decent level of abuse to actually break those pieces apart. Still, having it be a single long board would have been way better.The brackets that hold the keyboard in place have to be adjusted before you screw them in - you size them to fit your keyboard. Your keyboard must be full size - some extra length is no problem but if it is not full sized or longer it probably won't fit.Anyway, I feel like this is really a great bargain, I am super happy with it and expect it is going to last a long time.--------I'm honored to be included in the Amazon Vine program, and I work really hard to make these reviews and videos helpful. This is a bit disappointing. It said it was universal for "most" digital pianos, but it didn't quite fit mine. I have a Kurzweil stage piano and it is a bit deeper than the widest setting for the expandable stand. Also, it said it was wood, but it really seemed like weak wood, not very strong. It also arrived with two of the short screws missing, so I have to find some silver ones from my garage to use instead. The back panel is in two pieces, so it bows a little and doesn't fit well together. This makes me nervous because I have a 2 year old and 5 year old who swing their legs when they are sitting in front of the piano, and I am afraid it will collapse. The piano is heavy so this stand makes me nervous since the piano is a bit deeper than the stand. I am worried it might fall on my kids if they lean on it. Very disappointed.

How ironic this was available on Vine. I got for my grandson as he has many instruments and the piano being one of them. Perfect fit, great quality and study. However, I think it is slightly over priced. The item is easy to assemble. It came with all the hardware and instructions were provided. My grandson was thrilled to now have a stand for his digital keyboard.

This is a really nice stand IF your keyboard fits. My keyboard has feet and speakers that protrude in random spots from the bottom, so it made finding a balance point really difficult. However, when I did eventually find that balance point, I was able to secure it with the adjustable mounts and non-stick pads. It holds the piano securely without rocking or moving while playing aggressively. The stand itself doesn't wobble around and although it's not solid wood, it feels strong. I can fit a stool (and myself) comfortably under the keyboard at a perfect playing height.Check that the bottom of your keyboard is either flat or symmetrical towards each end, and if it is, this is a spectacular stand and a massive upgrade over a standard x-style one.
