Installation is borderline nightmarish on the 2.8L V6 due to the top hex bolt of the transmission mount having nearly zero clearance to access it. Definitely left some skin and blood up under there.Took a lot of patience and experimentation to get that bolt out for sure.Dropping the subframe, or removing the exhaust was not on my options list.That said, it fixed the hard transmission bump, and ensuing limp mode that would trigger when I put the car in reverse.So far so good, and saved me a few hundred beans vs the VW/Audi OE one.I was extremely skeptical at the price of this, but purchased anyway based off of mainly positive reviews.It's only been 2 days, and about 10 miles, since I've installed it, however, and will update if anything changes.Really hoping for some longevity cuz I'm definitely not looking forward to having to do this install again anytime soon.As of right now tho...5 stars.

I’m so impressed that this part was installed and fixed my issue. The issue I had was that service light with the triangle, and that hard knock when you put the car in gear. I was able to pass my emissions.

I like that it was an exact replacement and it was so much more affordable than other sellers. Foreign car parts are always so expensive, this is a relief.

P0706 2005 audi cabriolet. Rolled the dice purchased trans range sensor from Amazon. Over the course of a week, learned it's a nightmare. Called independent dealer was quoted just labor +$900. No freaking way. If your not mechanical, or don't have mechanic tools, do not attempt. The range sensor is behind the driver motor mount. To get the motor mount out, you have to onbolt the cv axle, exhaust down pipe. Have a jack support the trans. Then remove the motor mount. Then it's out with the old and in with the new. Then put it back together, took me 7 hours. So far so good. But I wouldn't do it again

Works well but cost me £500 to fit. 7 hours of mechanic time to get to gearbox. Big job.

My 2003 VW Passat 2.3 litre V5 went into limp mode whenever it was put into reverse. I replaced the old switch with this one and that fixed the problem. It was visually identical to the one removed (which was an original genuine VW part) and I couldn't see any problem with the build quality. The new switch was fitted with no issues. It mounted onto the transmission perfectly and its connector was a nice snug fit, just like the original. It has been fitted for two months now and is still working well. I can't fault it! I'm extremely happy with this purchase!

If you know what you are doing you will have no problems installing this unit. It works as it should and fits as it should. I was pleased to learn the that part that is on line for 1/8 the price, and available to be delivered to my door in 2 days instead of 10 days from the dealer. It was worth the shot to try it and I'm back on the road with no driveability issues, trans shifts perfectly again and no more harsh engagements. 04 passat 1.8t auto

I’ve installed the switch on my Audi A4. I also reset the error code on the dash. No issues so far and it’s been a month. Seemed to have solved my problem.
