I purchased the PH60F-Z Flat pH version, which works great for very small sample sizes such as saliva, as well as larger size liquid samples like urine containers. It even measures the pH of flat surfaces like skin and paper (you just have to moisten them first with a little distilled water). This thing is FAR superior to the practically useless paper pH strips.I was encouraged that this exact meter and probe has been used in at least one large scientific hospital study where accuracy and precision were critical to establishing surgical recommendations. (Search for "PH60F" and "chewing gum" to find it.) This appears to be a high quality professional grade instrument, not just a fly-by-night Chinese company's disposable toy so often seen around here.I was a little worried about some of the 1-star reviews, but fortunately my device calibrates well and provides steady, accurate and precise results. (By the way, this unit came with 7.0, 4.0, and 10.01 calibration solutions.) One of the other top reviews featured a unit failed after being dropped in water, but it supposedly had a loose cap; my cap is quite tight. I will still be extremely cautious and pretend it's not waterproof even though the manufacturer says it is.I'm dropping one star due to the manufacturer still advertising that it's waterproof, while not appearing to honor the warranties of units that failed because they got wet. Can't have it both ways.I'll update later if I have any problems, but for right now I'm very happy with what looks like a very solid, quality product.
