Step1 Remove the car roof
Before installing the fiber optic lights, connect them to the car battery to test if they are working properly.
Step2 Mark points
First, mark the spots to be drilled with a pen, then use a 1.0mm drill bit to make the holes.
Step3 Thread fiber optic cable
Use a 1.0mm drill bit. Choose a pattern and print it out. Drill holes according to the pattern, thread the fiber optic cable through and secure it.
Step4 Secure the cable
Secure the fiber optic cable using hot melt glue or silicone sealant.
Step5 Straighten the cable
Straighten the fiber optic cable and guide the fiber optic connector to the position for the light source using the fiber optic head paper.
Step6 Attach the foam
Apply thin foam, fabric, or leather to insulate against the metal sheet, which will help extend the lifespan of the fiber optic cable.
Step7 Trim the cable
Cut off the excess cable left inside the car, trimming it flush with the roof. Alternatively, you can trim it flush after the roof has been installed.
Step7 Power on
It is recommended to hide the star projector inside the C-pillar or in the rear trunk, as long as there is a 12V power supply.

A bit complicated to install but nothing that can’t be figured out. Lights are bright and clear. Has multiple light modes and easy to use. Overall great product.

Great kit for the price point. It looks exactly as pictured. These headliner light kits are not the easiest to install, but that's expected. Lots of labor and precision needed to get these done right. Would recommend!

These fiber optic light kit is well-made. All components are good quality and all the strands are also very clear and good quality fiber optics. The app makes it easy to control the settings.I installed this on my boat and connected it to my 12V system just like with any lighting. It’s a simple install, it’s just tedious work to place all the fiber optic lines to where you want it, but the outcome is well worth it. Overall very impressed and happy with the quality of this fiber optic kit!

Order this because I always wanted to have shooting stars in my headliner or just Stars twinkling. I was surprised by how considering what all this thing can do. The housing for the light itself is a little thin and cheap filling but nonetheless it does the job . The light is very bright and it doesn't leak out throughout the tubes. The ease of installation for this product is well above beginners. You have to sit there and literally drill holes in your headliner after you figure out how to take it down and then line these up just perfectly so that they will work the way you want them to work. I would highly recommend this but I want to emphasize that this is not an easy installation. The hardest part is pulling down your whole headliner and drilling the holes and having the patience to do it.

So I haven't actually installed this yet. Doing one of these star headliners is a fairly involved process, where you take the headliner out of the car and drill hundred if not thousands of little holes through it, and then glue each fiber optic strand in place in. Then re-install the headliner. I haven't had time to do all of that yet. I did however, hook this up to the battery of my car to test it, and it seemed to work really well. The color options are nice, as well as the white. It transitions between each smoothly. I'm looking forward to installing it in the car.

These APLOS fiber optic lights look amazing and were very simple to install. I had no trouble at all installing this very pretty and mesmerizing headliner kit and it's been a huge hit with both friends, coworkers and my family. I also love its ability to be controlled through the app, allowing for very easy light control and its ability to have the lights flicker and dance was a hit with me and my kids.
