It's amazing the roar you hear on a cold start when you have a working fan clutch, and you wonder what's up with that. You try the throttle on the engine bay and can feel the air force. But this thing actually works: Just did a short trip, arrived home, tested again, and because the pressure has built up in the fluid, no roar at all. It actually does what it's supposed to do. And I guess anothrr little bonus is they have sprayed an anti corrosive coating over the copper part pictured. Actually seems to spin the fan more evenly compared to the original part which failed previous to 160,000kms.I was hesitant to try the Toyota silicone honey oil repair on the old one, but will have that at least, as backup in the future.Thank you a-premium. Torque for fan hex screws found on YouTube at 10NM.

Great price for a unit Mercedes wants over $160 for. Unfortunately there's not much else I can say. My customer took off with the unit before I could install it

I'm changing out the water pump on a 2000 Mercedes Benz ML320. I figured I might as well change out the fan clutch since I have to remove it to get to the pump. Plus the car is old and it's the original fan clutch, so it's probably time. The car is displaying some of the symptoms of a bad fan clutch too. Anyway, I had to order the special 32mm/36mm tool to get off the nut that holds the fan in place to get this off. With the tool it's a piece of cake to get the fan off. There's 3 bolts that hold the clutch in place, it's a simple r&r job. I'm thrilled I saved at least $100 getting the part off of here instead of the usual chain parts store. Every single thing I've gotten for the car has worked out great.

Installed it about 4 weeks ago, and it totally made the difference since then. I could see the temperature being higher than it should with the old fan clutch that was out of service.Anyway, had several trips to Big Bear lake, CA and the engine temperature stays pretty much at the same level on my ML320, I don't thibk the car would have made it with the old fan clutch. Definitely recommend that one, so far so good!

Product received as described Install it with no problem at first but few weeks passed the clutch started to make a loud roaring noise. The fan is not spinning freely all the time thus making the noise. Will need to replace it now again. Very disappointed that this one is defective.
