So to start with, you don't just get the pump. You also get two really nice ceramic air disks, two lengths of air hose complete with check valves, some zip ties and two bits of filter foam to use on the air pump intake. Packaging was really nice, each to open and everything securely in place. The pump itself seems high quality and is insanely quite for the amount of air it is putting out. I've been through so many air pumps, and never had one this quiet, especially not for as much air it is pumping through. I initially didn't believe it was putting out that much air it was so quiet, but once hooked up boy was there a lot of air coming out.The digital display is nice, and you can change the amount of air that is coming out of the pump. It has several different modes depending on if you are using it only off battery, as a backup or primary air pump. Two suggestions for making it better:- It needs a better user guide. It is obvious this was originally written in another language and run through a translator app, making it difficult to follow.- The one accessory missing is a cap for the air stems. This is one of those pumps with two separate air stems, so you can run two lines at once.

it has impressed me so far. The ultra-quiet operation is a huge plus, especially if you have the tank in a living space where noise can be an issue. The 5200mAh battery is a lifesaver during power outages for me, ensuring my fish get a continuous oxygen supply. The adjustable airflow is great for different tank sizes, i have a few smalls tanks (about 20 gallons) and with 190 GPH, it provides strong aeration, I’ve used it for both an indoor aquarium and a small pond, and it has worked well in both settings.Overall, this is a solid, reliable air pump with excellent battery backup. If you want peace of mind in case of power failure or just need a quiet and efficient aerator, this is a great choice.

Wow, this air pump packs quite a punch! As this air pump is made for tanks up to 600 gallons, at the highest airflow rate, it certainly delivers. Though I don't have any tanks that large, I have many smaller tanks. It is able to supply air to multiple tanks (about 80 gallons combined) using an air splitter valve. The variable speed helps with limiting airflow for smaller setups. The battery backup is excellent, as it allows sponge filters to still function in case of power outages. The intermittent mode is a nice feature, especially to extend the air pump's usage during power outages. In addition, the included accessories (air stones, check valves, and airline tubing) are a great bonus, as they are all relevant to the setup. While this air pump is quite powerful, there are a couple of things I didn't like.First, it is quite loud. Compared to my other large air pumps, I could hear this air pump no matter what airflow speed it is set at. Even at the lowest setting, the pump makes a bit of noise. The noise is coming from the internals of the air pump and not from any vibrating noises.Second, I didn't like the controls on this air pump. The variable airflow speed settings are hard fixed increments. As I can control my airflow splitter valve mechanically, I would have liked to do the same for the air pump. This way, I wouldn't be bound by the increments set by the pump. And lastly, though the other included accessories are great, probably the most used item for this air pump would be an air splitter valve. Including that would have been much more useful.Overall, I found this air pump great for powering multiple tanks. Its battery backup makes it great for power outages or for transporting fish. A couple of downsides are that the air pump is a bit noisy and the controls are limited. Including an air splitter valve would have made the accessory package much better. Nevertheless, it's a good, powerful, portable air pump that is great for supplying air for multiple tanks.

What I love: The VAQX is a large and powerful air pump that's built with a sound-dampening shell and vibration dampening feet.It switches seamlessly to battery operation, and back, upon interruption/restoration of house voltage.Airflow is adjustable, from 1 to 9. At a continuous flow of 5 I found that the unit lasted just over 12 hours on a full battery. There is an intermittent "ECO" mode that pumps air for 15 seconds, and is off for 30 seconds, before pumping again and continuing this cycle, potentially extending how long it works on a single charge (at a setting of 5) to 36 hours. It took me about 9 hours to charge it back to full from empty. Also included are two disc shaped air stones. The manual states that the pump can drive them up to a depth of 30 inches. I don't have a tank that deep, but can state that at a depth of 20 inches, that of a standard 45 gallon tank, and approximate depth of many other medium to large tanks, again at a setting of five, it will drive enough air through the stones to raise a turbulent froth of bubbles. What could be improved: Both user manual and a yellow sticker on the unit state that it is not waterproof. A unit that is advertised for fishing (keeping minnows/bait or caught fish alive) would benefit from at least some attempt to waterproof and provide an IPX rating given that it might be used on a boat where it could get splashed.I would have liked to be able to adjust the two air channels individually from the unit. The wall adapter converts the voltage to 9V DC at a current of 1.5 amps, a value well within the capacity of PD/USB-c, the new standard for rechargeable household electrics, If the manufacturer had made it possible to recharge the battery that way, not only would that have been more convenient at home, but it would have made recharging in vehicles and RV's much easier.
