This does a great job making the water clear and filtered. It was easy to install.

First the positive. We have a new custom-built, rural home with a well. The water is potable and good quality. I bought this initially for the softening and for the ultraviolet bacteria treatment. Shortly after moving in and before buying this system, we discovered that our well water was rich in iron. This was evidenced by the brown, easy-to-clean stains in our toilet bowls.About a week after install, my wife noticed the water from the tap tasted better. We also noticed the water was "cleaner" and the staining in our toilet bowls was not returning. Given what it would have cost to buy a similar system from one of these local water treatment companies, this product is a HUGE value. One company estimated $12,000 and another $7,000. Even though I paid a professional plumber $300 (including parts) to install it was still a bargain at $2,100. (Bought it during Amazon days.)That brings me to the "some things could improve" part of this. After emptying the boxes and laying out all of the parts, I collected the cardboard to toss it. One box was quite heavy. I thought, "That's weird." I looked inside. It was empty. So, why was it so heavy? I turned it over. There was a large bag of hardware taped to the bottom. It will forever remain a mystery why it wasn't inside the box instead, and to add to the mystery, after the system was installed, I realized we never opened the bag? What were these for?All of the fitting included with this system assume you will run 1/2" PEX-B. PEX-B is the type that uses metal crimped clamps. It is also the type that necessarily chokes the flow to less than the inside diameter of the PEX. Despite including all of these fittings, there was no tubing. So, assuming I received everything they intend to include, you will need a trip to the hardware store.Fortunately, even though all the fitting are for 1/2" tubing the inlets and outlets on each filter and the ultraviolet canister support 1" plumbing. This was a plus for us, because we had a 1.25" feed from our pressure tank to this system. Our inside water pressure was not impacted by this system. Our plumber used PEX-A tubing and fittings. An advantage of PEX-A is no leaking, no diameter reduction at the fittings, and we used PEX-A throughout the build. The disadvantage is the requirement for special tools, thus the hired plumber. One last note on the parts: the short blue filter canisters come with a wall mount bracket. When that bracket is screwed onto the top of the filter canister, the surface that is supposed to mount to the wall is 3.5" from wall. Go figure. I had to install a 2x4 on edge on the wall and then screw the mounts to the 2x4. I mentioned this to customer support. They said they knew about this. They suggested adding the 2x4. I suggested they extend they extend the bracket, or, at the very least, add a note to the instructions.Lesson Learned: read the instructions completely BEFORE install. I did not. I was suppose to flush water through the big blue tanks before installation. The consequence was days of gray, aerated water and a lot of faucets burping air as all the air between the particulates in the tanks worked itself out. Not a serious issue, but it could have been avoided. Conclusion: Based on the short time we've had this up and running, I highly recommend the product. Research the alternatives. Research what their customer's say. I think you too will find this is a great value in the world of water treatment.

The product does what it says to the tee. Water treatment made a huge difference on everything. The shower. The laundry. The water filter tasting from the faucet. All amazing. Installation was as expected. I took out all the parts and planned exactly how to install with the cutoff valves and direct line bypassing the filter system also. It's Doesn't day that you need to buy pex piping, clamps, cutters, as well as shark bite splitters which allowed me to go from copper to pex and back without issues. Also. Ground wires needed after. All in all direct another two to three hundred in parts and tools. Still not bad. Followed the instructions to a tee and the install went smooth and without any leaks. The parts and connections are plastic so you have to be careful not to over tighten. Needed to buy pvc cement as well as pipe tape for the threaded connections. The star of it all is how the water is soo soft and clean and feels amazing on my clothes, in my hair, and on my skin. The water has done a three sixty and feels amazing. Soo happy I installed it. Zero issues although I didn't need to contact the manufacturer or amazon. Bought the unit on sale during a Black Friday event and saved money on top of it all. Very happy.

It's a great system. Bought this to replace the current 5 year filter but all that came was the pre and post filter casing. No rhino tanks and no pro instal kit. Bought this off warehouse deals if that makes a difference. 800 dollars for 2 pieces of plastic.

It definitely changed the water taste, a slight water pressure decrease but worth it to have better water quality it’s a bit pricey but no hauling jugs of water and no gross water smell when having a shower

We are on town water in a small town and we get very high levels of chlorine in our water. We can tell when the water has had a new dose of chlorine because we can smell it for a few days when we turn on a tap. After learning about the problems with ingesting chlorinated water, I began filling up jars of water and leaving them out to evaporate the chlorine for a day before drinking. This made a huge difference but I wanted to be able to drink from the tap with even less chlorine and didn’t want us to be absorbing it through our skin anymore. So, we did research and this water filter was recommended as the best for our purposes. We have been very pleased with this filter so far. The water tastes great and I feel so much better about my family washing in this water. There is no hint of chlorine taste in this water. So glad to have better water with this filter! Highly recommend!

As a water filtration system it works great. As a water softener, it does not compare to a regular salt based softener. I base this on the fact, the water still leaves my skin feeling dry and itchy and I get hard water marks left on the shower glass door. The water is crystal clear and tastes great. I may add a conventional softer after the Aquasauna system. When installing make sure you use pink thread tape and the correct pipe adhesive, Install was a breeze with the PEC system. You may need to build a structure as I did to install the filter housing. Since writing this article, I found that I need the water softener tank to go with the filtration unit. I have ordered this part and will add my findings to this article once installed and tested for a few weeks.

The instructions call for a professional installation. I ignored that part of the instructions and installation was easy.Shut-off valves and Pex components are good quality. You will need some ¾" Pex pipes, a tool to cut the Pex, ¾" crimp rings and a ¾" Pex Crimping Tool to complete the installation (or a plumber ;-)I have city service for water. The water is not hard, is pretty good, but defineately has an after taste to the unfiltered water. This filter system removed all of the after taste. All of the house water (cold and hot) is filtered by this system. The water tastes great wether directly from the tap or through the fridge dispenser and there is no noticeable drop in presuure.Shortly after the install, we had a ruptured water main. The supply lines completely seperated from the city line and mud was forced into our water lines. The 20" pre filter prevented a catastrophe. The water in the house was never turbid and none of the faucets, fridge (with water dispenser) or laundry machines were damaged by the dirty water.
