It is called "Ultra Light". It is not. It is heavy steel. It is very well built and I even used it to winch a fellow out of a muddy ditch, not much load but it worked like a charm. Now if ARB would build a snatch block like this from aluminum THAT would be "Ultra Light". Nobody has done this yet. Wonder why?

This is the best heavy duty snatch block you can carry without getting into overhead rigging stuff.

These are the real deal for big trucks with big winches. You really can't do better for the price, rating, size and weight. I have two of these and use them with 7/16" and 1/2" synthetic rope.Plan to use a metal screw pin shackle. The attachment point has sharp 90-degree shoulders that will weaken and chafe soft shackles.

item weight is listed as 1 lb in the Amazon.com listing but the actual weight when it arrived is 5.3 lbs.
