Attaching neatly to most vehicles, these self-standing retractable awnings fit onto the side of most roof racks and roof bars, conveniently stored for immediate use on arrival. Specifically designed for harsh Outback conditions, constructed from tough PU coated 300 gsm poly/cotton ripstop canvas, the awning is fully waterproof and offers a UVP 50+ rating. The led light strip has 1200 lumens with a digital dimmer switch that allows choosing either cool white or amber colour mode.

This purchase was really to extend our camping/sleeping footprint. RTT is a Roam, but we travel/camp with our Malinois, so added this canopy with the optional wall/floor system to extend our space and give him a place to chill and sleep. Its just plain awesome really. It's nice to have a closed in space without having to retreat to the tent for the night and this definitely extends the evenings. Only used 3 times so life cycle isn't quite known yet but hopefully it last for the price.

The fact that I have to purchase brackets separately is ridiculous. They should included 3 different type brackets for customers spending this type of money for the 2500x2500 with lighting awning. Now I have to spend the extra money just for the brackets and they take more than a week for delivery. So now no campingUPDATE: Deployed awning and it looks good with the exception that the missle sags. Call and spoke with arb rep and they stated that the sag is their because of the light. I remind you I have the black aluminum 2500 x 2500 with light. Why would anyone want a sag in the middle of the awning? This pissess me off once again. When I finally sell this awning, I will just use a tarp.

Out of the box the ARB TOURING badge was on at an odd angle. Finally got it mounted on my Vanagon and when I used it for the first time the bungees to hold the cover closed just snapped off when putting it away. Very poor quality for the price. Customer service told me they couldn't help me over the phone and visit the website. What a joke. Don't waist your money on this junkie product!

Installation would have been easier with a friend helping, but I was able to do it myself (used Prinsu quick connects on a Prinsu full rack on my 4Runner). The first deployment was also a bit clumsy doing it by myself, but by about the 3rd time I could do it without too much trouble, and in about 3-4min. Obvious quality in the materials, design and stitching. Sturdy poles that are easy to use and tie down. In it's first real use, we got a light rain and the water easily shed off the hydrophobic surface of the awnings fabric so it was mostly dry when I rolled it back into it's case before leaving. The size was perfect, and it looks great. No wind noise on the highway.

This is a very well made and nice looking awning. I got it because a friend of mine has one and I was really impressed by his. Nice to have shelter, shade, and illumination if you want. Customer service is great too. Mine came missing some hardware, and even though it had been awhile since it was delivered and I didn’t notice the hardware was missing until I opened the box the other day (I was waiting on my roof rack), the vendor coordinated with ARB and got me the missing items within a couple of days. Top notch awning, top notch customer service. You get what you pay for. Exactly what you’d expect from the ARB network.

Mounted this to my 2018 Crewmax Tundra and it's amazing. Deploys in seconds, just as advertised. My fair-skinned wife and daughter love the shade, which lets us stay out longer at the beach, car shows, camping, ball games, etc.
