The aluminum insert fits perfectly into the shaft. It does need to be glued in with super glue. The slot for the bow string however is cut too tight and requires too much effort to release. This may cause the nock to be pulled off the pin or have a negative impact on the arrow speed. I've already lost a few nocks that went flying. The solution is to grind out the slot which is time consuming and must be done carefully!
