Super kit to have on hand. One of those g t hangs that make doing maintenance on your equipment easier. Excellent price and fast shipping. Would buy again in a minute except there is enough to last forever for the average Joe homeowner. If your a retired HVAC guy like me you wonder who borrowed the same kit costing 3X more. Lol well worth the price.

I bought a brand new $350 jack and multiple brass zerk fittings were broken. Rather than deal with warranty and shipping the monster back to the manufacturer, I bought this kit. I can't find metric grease fittings locally, and this whole kit cost less than just a couple fittings from other vendors. Very happy to far.

Bought this to avoid removing mower decks from our garden tractors. There were cheaper ones, but they had some negative reviews. This item had fewer negative reviews, and fortunately, my experience was not consistent with those. The 90 degree fitting's zerk snapped securely into my grease gun hose fitting, as did the fitting onto the spindles' zerks. Used only 3 times so far, but no leaks or oozing out anywhere. Watch your knuckles when removing from equipment, as it takes some effort, but having no leaks is worth it, as others have pointed out. Do wish it came with a cap/cover, but found a cap from an old hydraulic hose that fits well enough. Would buy again.

I have struggled for years with grease guns and fittings and zerks. When I came across this "leak free" locking coupler I convinced my self that all my grease issues were solved. Nope not even close. First there is a major design flaw with this unit. when you engage the lever the Jaws retracts into the body of the coupler. When you try to place the jaws on a zerk they retract too far so unless your fittings are ultra long (like 3/4 of an inch) it is a major struggle to get the Jaws to grab (you have to depress the lever only part way and hope the Jaws grab). Horrible. I tried this on every fitting on my tractor, trailers and lawnmower with the same results. The next major issue is the diameter of the coupler. FORGET about anything resembling a tight space. This barely fit my tractor front loader fittings and was useless on my mower deck and wheel bearing (where I really need it the most). I gave it 2 stars because if you do manage to get it clamped onto a fitting it does not leak. I guess back to the drawing board for me as I will only use this on my small finger pump grease gun that I use to freshen up my trailers bearing buddies as this the only fittings this work on consistently.

I can only comment on the push-on fitting as it's the only one in the set I have used. I used it to grease a hard to access zerc fitting on a Yamha side-by-side. As others have noted with this style of fitting, it is (by design) hard to push on, and then hard to remove once used. However, it greased the zerc fitting just as though I was using the straight fitting on my grease gun directly, with no loss of grease in the process. So for the ability to get to a hard to access zerc, and good leak-tight performance I would recommend this tool for those instances when it is needed.

This review is for the ARES 54021 Quick Connect Grease Gun Coupler. What a great tool. I thought it was going to be a cheaply made tool but I was surprised by the solid construction. For instance, from the attached pictures you can see how thick the metal for the lever is. When I opened the package I thought that it was heavy and huge. When greasing equipment sometimes there is not much space and I was concerned that this tool was larger than I wanted. However when I compared it to the coupling I was replacing it is not that much larger. I like ARES tools. They sell a quality tool at a reasonable price. This tool is made in China.
