I have inherited a pair of very large and very old oversized club chairs. One of them has gotten "soft" in the seat. I could have an upholsterer retie the springs at significant cost but decided to buy these "stiffeners". it was a perfect solution. Before I bought I read the product reviews. Most of the 1 star reviews didn't criticize the product but the cost. I decided to buy the used ones as there were 6 in stock. I reasoned that they wouldn't actually be used but just returned for many innocuous reasons. i was right. What I received was 5 new planks which are encased in a fabric envelope so that they can't spread apart in the chair seat. Perfect solution. I'm very happy with my decision to buy "used" as they were only about 25% of the cost of new and such a bargain.

Good material & fit nicely on arms of chair BUT not enough Velcro to hold onto chair. (Had to buy Velcro at Walmart to strap across open ends to make them stay on.)

Had to turn the boards around the opposite way of what they suggested only because some of the springs are broken in the middle of my couch, but works great! Adds alot of support and I dont sink in anymore

Much better and even support than the cushions. It really works if you follow the instructions and position the slats perpendicular to the chairs springs.

The bamboo slats are a little over 1/4" thick and is why it supports so well vs the cheaper, plastic covered slats that are filled with plastic and/or cardboard. However, you could get the same effect by going to a hardware store and buying 1/4" plywood board, cut to size, and sand the edges and corners. I have bamboo cutting boards that are this thick and thicker and cost a fraction of the price of these five slats. I'm too busy these days to do DIY projects, but seriously, almost $50 for this is astronomical. Kind of mad at and ashamed of myself for supporting this brand and product...

These are nice and heavy as they should be. I like that these are slats so you can adjust them to fit the area. They are a nice size as opposed to others in the market. It made a huge difference in the feel of the sectional. I got the x3 pack and a 1 pack. I plan on getting a few more for other chairs. They are more expensive but worth it in my opinion. I am sitting on a totally different couch. They will outlast the couch and I will use them for any new seating I buy.
