These are great for cleaning up threaded holes. No fear of breaking like some of the crappy sets you see for sale. Not this particular size, but they saved a caliper bolt hole for me instead of having to spend hundreds.

This tool cleans the aluminum threads of debris that accumulates on the threads and also helps shape the threads without removing any aluminum threads and making the tapped hole larger. It is a good tool to have and use on aluminum threads. A little oil also helps sometimes to keep the steel bolt from deforming the threaded aluminum.

These thread cleaning taps are kinda pricey but hey so is a aluminum cylinder head. I cleaned all of the bolt holes when I did my cam swap this past month.
