Why rent this modem while paying companies a fee when you can own your own and get rid of the fee. This worked perfectly for my replacement of my optimum one.

It was advertised as a renewed product. When I plugged the telephone wire in to the modem, it did not work and I had no phone service. It was returned to the seller and my old modem was reused. I did not contact tech support. I gave it one star because it did not work

It took 4 tries with Optimum support, but found a tech that knew what he was doing. Three techs couldn't get the phone working, the 4th did. It's stable, fast, and works well.

Easy to install, no configuration necessaryAfter replaced it with the old modem, I called cable company (Optimum) to active it. All you have to do is to provide the tech support with the MAC address from the white label.FYI, this cable model is support up to 300bps speed. It's not for 4K speed.

had cable company come over to house to verify that the two telephone ports on the cable modem did not work. cable company had to rent me another cable modem...
