I purchase this rivet gun kit for the rivet gun, case and rivets. On the back of the case it states this kit includes 75 aluminum rivets; 25 pcs:1/8", 25 pcs :5/32" & 25 pcs :3/16". I place an magnet on these rivets and they all attached to the magnet. Aluminum is not magnetic. These are steel rivets. In addition, the 3/16" steel rivet cannot be use with this rivet gun(see the attached photo). This is my reason for the 4 stars overall rating.

After the third rivet, the plunger got caught on the back plate and the handle locked up. Pretty poor design for a name brand company.

Good idea of not having to change heads for different sizes but poor design . Because the head is so flat it won’t go into tight spaces, so it won’t work for most applications .

I will readily admit that I do not need a riveting tool often. Riveting is one of those tasks that I need to do only very occasionally, and I have always done it the “hard way” as I was taught. This was my first time using an actual riveting tool and it is definitely easier than doing everything manually. Most who would be reading this and looking at this tool already know the basic process and how it works, so I will not bother explaining the full procedure for using such. I will say it works in a way vaguely similar to how anchor screws work.Included in the package are drill bits, three different sizes of rivets and the rivet tool itself. To say it contains everything you need would be false; at a minimum you need a drill if you do not already have the right sized hole for the rivet you need to place. The handle has a little side-to-side play in it and it can pinch if you’re not careful. Otherwise, this is a solid tool and it feels like it will last for a long time under moderate use. Because of the wobble in the handle I would probably choose a different tool for more professional work, but it will work on the job if necessary. As another reviewer noted, there is a mismatch between the product description and the actual contents when it comes to the rivet count. This is an editing error, not a product error, but it is misleading. As far as the job it does riveting, it works well. It does require a little hand strength but it doesn’t require a death grip either, and operation is simple – squeeze the handle repeatedly until the rivet is firmly in place and the post separates. That’s it – not rocket science. This tool makes riveting much easier than trying to rivet something completely manually. Until now I didn’t have a good solution for riveting beyond the most basic method I was taught, but now I have an easy solution that works well. The tool cost is reasonable, and it works well enough for almost any home projects.

I wasn't able to use my older rivet tool as it didn't do many sizes. I have a mini truck that someone broke the rear side window. The kind that pops out to let air go thru cabin. I went to wrecking yard and bought a used window with frame. It was secured with rivets so since I had a rivet gun, I thought I could easily replace it myself. WRONG! My tool didn't accept the rivet size I needed. So getting this from Amazon worked perfect. I had the window just sitting in place and secured by the lever that popped it open. With this tool I was able to rivet in the new windows in place. I came with rivets so I took the largest one it came with, drilled a new hole in the window frame and truck and just popped in that rivet.Success... i can now open the window again, safely.I'll be using this again on that truck, as I will be modifying where the stereo mounts to install a larger radio. I have to install some metal spacers to attach the radio securely. You guessed it, the window was broken and someone tried to remove the stereo that was there and broke the side mounts not knowing that it was secured from behind the radio to the truck. It was not steal-able.Nice tool and since it comes in a case, I don't have to worry about losing the spare rivets like I did with my older rivet tool.
