I love the Christmas cards in this group of cards. I color my cards and send them to my family and select friends.

I would absolutely NOT give this five stars, so I was a bit surprised to see a 100% 5 star rating! Clearly many are overlooking some very valid points about the designs that should be noted. I bought the entire series from this company for my personalized Christmas card undertaking. Having designed book covers, trophies and provided professional commercial artwork over the years, I do know a "hand-drawn" design when I see one. These are NOT "hand-drawn", but "hand-designed" by software, which is a big difference. I have had to finish the incomplete designs on many of these cards so far. There is nothing 'personal' or 'unique' in these designs. But they are big, they are closer to the traditional American patterns preferred, and they have a sense of professionalism about them. That being said, I had a problem with their selected patterns as well. Christmas is not about 'rockets' or zig-zag patterns, or bizarre unevenly shaped circles that are supposed to represent ornaments. How many folks hang a pointed-tip oval shaped ornament on their tree? Or firecrackers in a stocking? This is very 'oriental' in nature, and not American. So I consider those versions a total waste as I'm not about to color and mail off something that appears out of character with our traditional Christmas routines. I do like the variety in this packet so I have lots of choices, but I place them in order of 'completion' (so I don't have to finish or alter them), originality, uniqueness, easiest to color with the wider tipped glitter pens, and best 'designs'. Those that have bizarre patterns like giant flowers, zig-zags, crooked designs or bows, incompletion, or unknown objects (yes, I have encountered some with objects that I don't have a clue as to what they may be) are placed on the bottom. For example, one design is of a sleigh with wings...seriously? It's not only unattractive, but it is not a design I would consider 'traditional American'. There is yet another with this giant enormous bird that looks to be penguin with gifts all around him. Again, is that 'American'? I don't think so. Anything with a human face looks very standard and unauthentic, almost commercial and stamped. Nothing unique or clever by any means. If you just want to color, go for it. If you want authentic and unique, buy your own cardboard and design your own "By Hand", which is truly the most unique and heart-felt way of making a true home-made Christmas card. Of the 20 cards, I have found about 8 worth coloring and fits my bill of an 'American' Christmas theme. The rest I will give to my grandchildren to color for the fun of it. Sadly, this is the best offered that I have found for the holiday season. More artists need to get their designs patented and out there so we have some really nice designs to choose from. Great concept, but poor presentation for our thematic needs. Next year I will design my own using the cardboard precut stock and this way my friends and family will have a truly unique piece of work worth keeping.

My older relatives and my really young ones are enjoying coloring the cards for friends and family for the holidays. Hand made gifts are always extra good.

A few years ago I began hand coloring my immediate family's Christmas cards. I ran out of them this year and couldn't find any locally. My family has come to treasure them so I was glad to find more. These cards are even better than the ones I had before. They're detailed enough but not so detailed that you'll need to spend hours on them. I love that they're made in Spain and they come in a nice folder.Photo is a sample of the designs.
