to big for smaller then maybe 11x14 canvas.wasnt thrilled with them . Going to get smaller pair. Maybe be good for larger canvas but cant get inside smaller ones to pull the canvas tight enough.

Big design flaw: the plastic sheath covering the metal handles slides off when you pull. Isn't pulling the canvas tight the point of this tool?!?!

Yes, the rubber on the handle is kinda cheesy but it works great. Until now I have used plaers to strecth canvas. This tool makes it easy to get the leverage needed to stretch it tight!

These canvas stretching pliers work very nicely! I lost more other pair when I moved and so I ordered these, they arrived the next day work great.

These are awful. The rubber grips are loose and I can't get a good grip. So I had to remove these. The spring comes out too easily and bounces across the room. And the lever part (the bumpout that should push against the frame in order to get leverage for tensioning) is in the wrong place so it doesn't actually countact the wood. So really all I al doing is pulling on the canvas wit the pliers but using my own strength - not the leverage of the tool - to stretch. So it really works very poorly. And the product as received was dirty and scratched - not new.

They are well made and functional, stretched my first canvas with ease! Rubber sleeves on the handles keep slipping off, but I fixed that with a bit of glue. Well worth the price!

Nice Pliers -- they did the job with no issues. The main reason that I chose these pliers is the soft grip material and the edges are beveled. Some pliers have sharp edges and they can rip your canvas. No issues with this pair.
