Works as intended so far, doesn't seem to be built super sturdy but works as expected, used a few times will have to see how long it works for for a 5star

I've been trying to melt plastic together with a soldering iron for years with terrible results. The other option was to Frankenstein sew it with bailing wire. This is such an elegant solution. The first thing I tried it on was the high back of some cracked snowboard bindings.Next up... fixing my dirt bike and snowmobile plastics.

Saved me from having to replace a $400 headlight because the locating tabs were broken.4 clips were required to fully lock the two broken pieces together.Had tried multiple different types of glue nothing lasted. These worked perfectly

Does the job ! What a good idea to create such tool. Just a note, I used it to fix a plastic boat (pedalo) in which I could not reach from inside, so it was slightly tricky to push the edge of the staples in the plastic to avoid sharp stuff on the surface. I used extra PVC to cover the patches.

Seems to be well made, definitely not cheap feeling. The amount and variety of staples are good, but it would be better if they were wider giving more strength to the repair. Comes with a set of dykes/snips for trimming the staple ends and a small 2in1 screwdriver. The heating elements of the gun cool quickly which is great. Followed the directions plus I like to give a small twist before I release the trigger. It's a good buy but on the pricey side

This gun works great variable heat and easy to hang on to. Saved lots money not having replace things for a simple crack

Works as expected. Best if used on the back side so the staples are not visible. I have used it on a grille for a Cadillac SRX and a bumper. Both are still solid months later. Think of this as hot staples that melt the plastic to embed themselves.

Did a great job repairing the dash in my 2009 Silverado. These trucks are notorious for cracking in a small area near the passenger airbag, but mine was much worse. It was cracked in several places, including a crack all the way front-to-back across the dash, causing 1 side of the crack to sit about 1/4" higher than the other. It looked awful.I used this gun to secure the gaps, and used epoxy & some aluminum sticks to add extra support on the larger cracks. I don't know if the extra support was necessary, but it couldn't hurt. I can still see the crack if I look at the right angle, but it is barely noticeable & you can't even see it from most angles.Saved me hundreds vs replacing the dash (or more if I had someone do it for me). The work to get the dash out & back in was a pain, but the tool was great & easy to use.

I bought this for a very specific task: transplanting a headlight tab from a scrap non-HID headlight onto a factory HID headlight to repair it. Considering a new replacement headlight from a dealership is $1100, and even a good used one on eBay typically runs $600+, the cost of the tool seemed pretty negligible. The tab I was repairing Is one on two on the bottom of the headlight that accepts a bolt to attach the headlight to the radiator support. Clearly a simple glue joint was not going to do the job, and I was looking at plastic welders when I can across this tool and was intrigued.Long story short, ordered, and found it very simple (and even fun) to use this tool to attach the tab to the headlight bucket with about 8 staples embedded on various sides. I then reinforced the repair with a bit of adhesive for extra insurance, and that tab is now at least as strong as an undamaged one. As I said in the title, not something most home handymen will use every day, or probably even every month, but when the right task comes along, I don't think you can go wrong with this tool.

This is probably my favorite tool now, exceeded my expectations, I bought it because I had a huge Crack in my bumper it worked Perfectly. stapled it right back together. I own appliance repair store and was previously using plastic welder epoxy which was expensive, messy not great and would take 24 hours to completely dry. I was able to fix a 20 year old machine that had a crack in one of the parts that they do not make anymore, stapler worked great and fixed it no problem in seconds. The staples are thin but also strong so It fixes just about all cracked plastic. replacement staples are expensive tho
