This type of rope is great to wrap the big poles in old homes that have radiators. If you live in an old home you know what I’m talking about. This particular rope (sisal) is heat resistant so it’s great for covering the pipes that get really hot. I’ve had them wrapped all winter, definitely buying more when I can.

Great rope for redoing your cat tree! I re roped our cat tree last year. In the picture, the 2 bottom right posts are the original sisal that came on the cat tree, the rest of the posts are this rope. It lasts! The cats have not destroyed them! I am getting ready to re rope the original sisal on the two posts that are down to cardboard. I really recommend this ATERET Sisal Rope for your projects. It has taken a clawing beating by 4 cats for the last year and its still fine!

Made a 36” 4x4 cat scratcher and it was exactly enough to wrap the whole post. It’s also a softer rope so it’s easy to get tight coils. It has a slight grassy smell that dissipated by the next day.

I needed some sisal rope to re-wrap some scratching posts on our cat tower. I got some extra and even made a brand-new scratching post for my cats. I've only had it for a month or two but so far it's holding up well. It was exactly what I needed for a great price.

Wanted to redo a beat up scratching post for my cat. This rope was perfect. Very strong and a good thickness. Made the post look like new again.

A lot of people have reported a heavy smell with this rope and yeah, it does smell, but it's not oil, it's the fact that the rope is made from SISAL which is fibers scraped from Agave plants. It does have a slight gasoline/mineral spirits smell to it, but this is natural, not chemically added. That said, this rope has done a great job of reworking our cat's towers.

I used the Sisal Rope to refurbish the circular flat base of a cat scratching post. The product worked fine even though the original sisal was 1/4 inch. The problem was to determine how to attach it to the circular flat base. I finally got some adhesive calking and spread a thin surface on the flat base, then pressed the sisal in a circular pattern on the base. Then clamped it and let it dry. I've got a LOT of sisal left but could not find a way to order less. I may have to refurbish all the cat scratchers in the neighborhood :-)
