Very pleased with weight and construction of unit. Assembled in 10 minutes tops. Traps 99 percent of pellets shot from 30-60 feet away with Co2 and break barrel air rifles.

Amazing design. It's almost as if the designer wanted to insure that pellets would ricochet. If the pellet hits the upper portion of the back it is reflected down, where it hits the part angled just right to cause it to come back toward you. If it hits the lower part, but just above the front vertical section, it is reflected up where it hits the top angle at just the right angle to come right back at you. If it hits the bottom vertical section it also comes back at you. Almost every pellet came right back at us where we were stationed ten meters from the trap.

very easy to assemble, size is perfect @ 12"x12" if you miss this you need a barn door. also go with the >22 cal. very good thickness.

Ok pellet trap. The steel is heavy enough to give you confidence in shooting. I don't like the rather tall bottom part of the trap that could potentially mean ricochets if pellets were to hit the lower 2 inches or so of the trap. I don't know why that part is not 'bent' at a more acute angle (and the metal is thick enough that bending things is not an easy option). Also, the screws supplied are COMPLETELY useless. You WILL 100% need to use 10 stove/mechanical screws with NUTS to secure the whole thing. The holes where the supplied screws are supposed to go aren't threaded, meaning that the short screws supplied don't actually get to 'hold on' to anything. It's completely ridiculous and one of the stupidest engineering oversights I've seen in a product in a while. Also, I realized later that my local stores carried similar traps at a better price. Anyway, not a complete waste, it works well enough once it's assembled (and there were no issues once I have the proper nuts and bolts). But the design itself is not the best and it's just incredibly lame to ship a product like that where the supplied hardware doesn't work.

Highly recommended. Very sturdy and built-to-last. Having targets on the shipping box is also a nice touch.

Like that it made of thick steel and is heavy.Didn't like assembly process. Did get assembled after a few tries, holes didn't quite all line up and needed a good amount of force to get screws to thread in.I use it for indoor shooting with my 55 year old Benjamin 22 pellet rifle.I heard from some people online that the coating on back of the unit comes off from impact. I installed a piece of 1/8th inch thick steel with 2 layers of material (1 rubber and one workbench protector) in between to absorb the impact and that worked very well to protect the unit from damage.I also noticed that when setting the unit level, the pellets tended to bounce back out of the trap.If I tilt it back so the back is vertical, that doesn't happen. The pellets flatten completely and drop into the bottom perfectly. It was a lot of work drilling necessary holes to install the extra layer of metal (hard to drill through the strong metal) but I am very satisfied with the final result. Works perfectly for my usage.-

Works great for high power air rifles, the .177 pellets get completely flattened with no damage to the traps thick back plate.

Very good item. I am very pleased with my purchase and would purchase again! It captures my pellets and is heavy enough to stay in place without an additional backstop. Reduces the amount of lead released from my target shooting. I will be able to have the lead recycled.I purchased the rimfire rated pellet trap and target for use at my home. Although I am using a 0.22 break barrel air rifle I wanted to go with the heavier rimfire rated unit. I am just learning to shoot. The construction seems plenty heavy to last a very long time.Assembly: This item comes unassembled. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Assembly was quite easy. Holes are slotted to permit getting the screws started. The thicker metal is all tapped. This & the slotted holes makes assembly much easier. Locknuts are used in the few locations that require nuts. This results in the assembly holding together better. I recommend initially leaving the screws loose until the unit is completely assembled. Straighten the assembly and then lock down all of the screws. Taking this approach, I found the all of my screws were fully centered in the slots with the unit square (sits perfecly on a flat surface with no rocking). I also applied removable loctite on the screws for final assembly. They also supply extra fasteners and the tools for assemblyAttachment of target is straight forward with the clip and works well (I was surprised). So far, my pellet trap has captured 100% of the pellets fired into it.The only area that is less than stellar, so far, is the potential durability of the Orange paint on the spinning targets. After 25 shots, the paint on the round paddle target and axle is chipping off from some of the shots. This should not be a long term problem as I store the pellet trap in the garage when not in use.Photo pellet trap without the target paper is after the first 25 shots. The black paint on the backside is holding up well though. The lead stains can be seen from the impacts but the paint is intact. The shots were made at 25 yds.Summary, if target shooting with suitable weapon, I highly recommend this product!

I ordered the rimfire version of this target/trap and couldn’t be more pleased. It went together, seamlessly without any issues at all. Just remember to put all the bolts in before you tighten them all down just like any erector set LOL! Seriously I don’t know how people are messing this up and complaining about it not fitting. It fit together perfectly fine. I lightly tapped my glass breaker on the back of my pocket knife on the orange targets to test them out and it pitted the metal easily but the paint did not chip off in chunks like some other people have reported. You could just spray some more paint on it as you use it if you need a pretty and bright target. Not really sure if this would stop a bunch of 22LR rounds the targets would be wasted for sure as they are made of soft metal but I got this just for blinking with my 22 air pellet rifle and mostly just for paper targets so it might be overkill. The target clip is cheap and is made of really thin tin but it does the job. If you hit it a few times I’m sure it will be wasted, but you could simply just replace it with a black steel paperclip if your aim is that bad 😆 This target/trap is heavy and tough, I like it! The sides are thinner metal and the spinning non latching targets are made of some kind of soft metal so I wouldn’t recommend firing 22LR at it but 22 rim fire might be ok however I think it will make short life of the metal targets and the sides. The metal targets are thick enough, but seem pretty soft to me. If you’re going to fire anything at these targets that has gunpowder behind it, I would probably replace them with some better steel targets. The really cool thing is you can put the metal targets in or take them out just by undoing the nuts on the sides. I don’t plan on using the metal targets so that doesn’t matter for me. I just want something that holds a paper target and will catch my lead pellets, so they’re not just going in the ground and can be collected out of the trap and recycled, this will work beautifully for that.
