It lets you put the tube on the gun. Not much else to say.Works perfectly with all scopes I've tried it with.Would've liked to see a qd lever instead of a tightening knob, but it's not that big a deal.

Mounts solid to the Barrett Rec7. I didn't even realize my PVS14 could be used as a weapon mounted night sight. And weirdly it kinda co-witnesses with the front iron sight, the front MAGPUL post kinda floats in the middle of the 14's viewing window almost like a back site blade. Cool.

Not a "Prime" item, but arrived just as quick. As far as the quality, this thing locks up tighter than the J arm that came with my PVS14. No movement. I know these aren't supposed to be mounted in front of scopes, but mine appears to have no effect on the POI of my ACOG. Granted, the ACOG is touted as zero parallax so maybe that is why this works in the front. Waiting on an IR filter to try the PVS14 behind my ACOG, but I think I'll like the front mount better. Also, the "torque limiting" knob seems to work quite well. Just screw in until it clicks like your gas cap.

Product is solid and attached quickly to the picatinny rail of my AR. I personally leave this product attached to me weapon and attach my NVG as needed using the mounting screw. Once aligned, the NVG screws on to the mount effortlessly. Some consideration may have to be taken in the product's position on your particular weapon, as the screw which attaches the NVG to the plate may (or may not) interfere with the charging handle on an AR when the NVG is not mounted to the plate. I have my plate all the way back on the rail of my AR and haven't had an issue with it, but it looks like it could potentially get in the way. I do recommend this product and it has worked very well for me and has aided in many successful pig and coyote hunts!!

Had to modify part of the clamping screw so it would sit flush with the slot in the picitanny rail. I would reccommend you use locktite on your screws with this. I do not regret purchase
