I returned item because it looks shiny but the differential cover is Black. I have black one now. Then I got charged for it again and it cost me $80.00 in overdraft fees.

Missing gasket and had no internal magnet like the description says the drain plug isn't even magnetic. Very disappointing.

The product box was damaged and the magnet must have fallen out of the shipping box. I'm not sure how good this magnet is if it falls out during shipping, what would have happened if it had come loose inside of my differential?

Bad; The magnet is not attached to cover, nor is there an indentation (like the original cover) to help maintain position of magnet. I scuffed up paint in preferred location and used a dab of RTV adhesive (allowing to cure overnight) to hopefully hold in position.Good; Nice heavy duty cover with heavy coat of black paint. When faced with a leaking rear axle on an '03 Tahoe, I decided to replace the rusted cover with this aftermarket piece, based in part on the good reviews. It is an exact replacement for the original part, and installed without any issues. Several months in there are no leaks, and the cover shows no rust. Very pleased.

Ordered this after looking at all the others. It comes painted with nice thick ATP gasket and magnet. Don't waste your money on the others. I don't know why they don't show the correct picture of what it really looks like.

I purchased this kit to replace a rusted and seeping cover on a 2000 Chevrolet Suburban K1500. The quality of cover is excellent and it is finished an a heavy black coating to prevent rust. I measured the thickness of the cover at 0.104", which is approximately 12 gauge steel. The original GM cover only measured 0.084" or approximately 14 gauge. The supplied fiber gasket was generously sized and sealed the cover up tight and leak free with no need for additional silicone sealer. I don't understand why the picture shows a zinc colored cover. Even the ATP website shows the same picture. The zinc finish is not even desirable as it would need to be painted to prevent rust, so I'm glad it's coated and don't understand all the complaints (see the unfinished Dorman 697-706 cover and its reviews about needing to paint).If you're replacing the cover due to rust as I was, I would recommend replacing the 10 cover bolts at the same time at about $0.80 a piece. Hillman makes a perfect replacement Class 10.9 shouldered bolt in M8-1.25x20mm that can be found locally at your Lowes or Ace hardware. Tighten the bolts gradually in a crossing pattern to a final torque of 30 lb.ft. for GM trucks. I highly recommend this cover and have been impressed with all the ATP products I've purchased over the years.
